This policy explains what we do with personal information when you use brighton-wellness.co.uk (the “Platform”), whether you are browsing, submitting an event or directory listing, signing in, or managing your own entries through an account.

Who we are

The Platform is operated by Natasha Jackson Ltd, registered at 38a Stafford Road, Brighton & Hove, BN15PF (“we”, “us” or “our”). We are the data controller for the personal information described in this policy.

Questions about this policy, or about your personal information, should go to Natasha Jackson at [email protected].

What information we collect

If you browse the Platform, we do not ask you for anything beyond standard technical information our servers record to keep the service running and protect it from abuse.

If you submit an event or directory listing, we collect what you put in the form — your name, email address, listing details, and any images you upload.

If you create an account or sign in, we collect your email address and that you signed in. Member sign-in is a one-time code we email to you. There is no password on a member account. Administrators sign in separately, with a password, to run the Platform.

Community membership is paid on Circle, not through this Platform. Circle and this Platform use the same email address. We use that address to record that you are a paying Circle member, so the membership can be recognised on your account here. A Zapier connection is being set up to make that record when someone pays on Circle. Until it is connected, an administrator can record the same match from a Circle member list. That match does not give Circle access to the rest of your account.

Directory listings for people who are not community members will be billed on this site — £149 a year or £13 a month — through Stripe Checkout. This site does not store card details. No card is taken until that checkout is switched on. Event submissions are free.

If you sign up to the newsletter, that signup is with Flodesk. Links on the Platform open Flodesk’s form. Where a signup is sent through the Platform, we pass only the email address to Flodesk so they can send the newsletter. We do not use your information for marketing unless you sign up.

Why we use it

We publish the events and listings you submit because that is the purpose of the Platform. We review submissions before publishing to keep the Platform accurate and safe. We send service emails about your own submissions and sign-in codes to operate your account.

Signed-in administrators can download event records — the title, dates and times, venue, organiser name and email, status, price, links, description and images — to run the programme. That download is not available to the public or to other members.

Cookies

We use a small number of strictly necessary cookies — a sign-in cookie (bwf_session) to keep you signed in, and Cloudflare cookies for bot protection on our forms. We do not use analytics or advertising cookies. A first-visit notice explains that; see our Cookie Policy for details, including a short-lived preview-access cookie while the site is not yet public. Live directory checkout is hosted by Stripe and does not set a card cookie here.

Who we share it with

Approved event and directory listings are published publicly. Your email address is not published — it is used to contact you about your own submissions.

We use service providers who process data on our behalf, including Cloudflare (hosting, images, security) and Brevo (service email). They act on our instructions and are not permitted to use your information for their own purposes.

Flodesk receives your email address if you sign up to the newsletter. Circle takes community membership payments on its own site; we keep a record against the same email address here. Zapier is the connection being set up to pass a paid Circle membership to that email. When directory checkout is switched on, Stripe takes the card payment for a non-member directory listing. We do not store card details here.

Service emails sent through Brevo may include open-tracking (a small tracking pixel that records whether a message was opened). We use that only to operate and troubleshoot those system emails — sign-in codes, submission receipts and decisions — not for advertising.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict use of your personal information, and to object to certain processing. Contact Natasha Jackson at [email protected] to exercise these rights.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top will change when we do. Material changes will be highlighted on the Platform where appropriate.
